Simple Oatmeal and Chocolate Energy Bites

I’ve had a sweet tooth as long as I can remember and I’m okay with it! I use to hate it and saw it as such a burden, but now I have a great relationship with food, especially sweets. I found the worst way to control my sweet tooth was to cut it out all together. Now, I eat sweets in moderation and find healthy alternatives when I’m really craving a little sugar. These simple oatmeal and chocolate energy bites are the perfect treat for when you’re craving something sweet, but want to keep the ingredients natural. These treats only have four ingredients, how easy is that? All you need is oats, dark chocolate chips, honey, and peanut butter. While these ingredients are natural, be careful of how often you eat them. The chocolate chips and honey add a little bit of sugar content to the mix, so I wouldn’t advice sitting and eating a whole batch in one go. I usually make these into one inch thick balls and have just a couple at a time. I will have them on the weeknights when I’m craving something a little sweet, but don’t want to go over board or when I hit that 3 p.m. lull and need a little energy. They are also perfect to make ahead and store in your freezer. Okay, enough talking! Lets get started on how to make these simple oatmeal and chocolate energy bites.
