I’m a coffee fanatic, so naturally when I heard about this whole Dalgona coffee craze I just had to give it a go. Now, nothing can pull me away from my favorite warm cup of pour-over coffee, but this was a nice little change. This recipe is the perfect summer coffee drink and so much fun to make. I feel like most people’s go to coffee drink in the summer is a frappuccino (which I really don’t even consider coffee). The only problem with your typical frappucinno is that it’s basically ice cream. It’s filled with high amounts of sugar and calories and I would not advise drinking these on a daily basis. This Dalgona whipped coffee is a good replacement though if you’re still looking for the really cool coffee drink. I’ve even added my own little healthy twists to the recipe. Enjoy!

This recipe makes two servings of coffee to chill off your summer morning. My only suggestion for this recipe is to invest in some good instant coffee. I can’t lie, instant coffee is not my first choice, but with the right type it can hit the spot. I used Starbucks Instant Pike Place Roast for this recipe.
Perfect Summer Dalgona Whipped Coffee Recipe
What you’ll need
2 packets of Starbucks Instant Pike Place Roast
4 tbsp organic cane sugar
4 tbsp water
Milk of your choice (I used almond milk)
- Combine your instant coffee, water, and sugar into a mixing bowl. Whisk the mixture until it becomes light and fluffy. The mixture should hold form and thicken.
- In a glass add the ice and milk of your choice, filling it three-fourths the way.
- Dollop the coffee mixture on top of the milk and ice.
