I love avocados, but I’m also very picky about the way I eat them. I won’t just eat avocado plain and only in certain guacamoles. I know I’m not the only one out there, I think it’s a texture thing. So, if you’re uncertain about avocados or have a love-hate relationship with them, I promise you will love this recipe. It’s such a simple recipe, bursting with flavor. I really took the time to find ingredients that compliment the avocado and bring out it’s natural flavor. Not to mention, avocados are a power house of nutrition. Healthline says they are high in omega-3, potassium, monounsaturated fats (good fats), fiber, and folate. They also say avocados may also lower your cholesterol, improve eye health, prevent cancer, and improve arthritis. This simple avocado toast recipe is not the only one you will find on my blog. Simple Avocado Toast Recipe
1 piece of Brownberry Natural Wheat Bread (or your choosing)
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp red pepper chili flakes
- Fry an egg over-easy and set aside. You can really cook your egg anyway you prefer. So, if you’re not an over- easy fan, switch it up!
- Toast a piece of the bread. Open your avocado and spread half the avocado over the toast.
- Sprinkle half of the salt, the red pepper chili flakes, and a squeeze of lime juice over the avocado.
- Add the egg to the top of the avocado toast and sprinkle the remaining salt on top of the egg.
